On Thursday, London’s Leicester Square was transformed into the desert planet Arrakis as the highly anticipated “Dune: Part Two” arrived for its world premiere. This sci-fi epic, featuring stars like Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, continued the story from its 2021 predecessor.
Director Denis Villeneuve returned to Arrakis, with Chalamet’s character Paul Atreides teaming up with Zendaya’s Chani and the Fremen to seek revenge for his father’s death. Set in a future dominated by noble families, the film is based on Frank Herbert’s acclaimed 1965 novel, exploring themes of politics, religion, and environmentalism.
